Age-grade time is done for the year of racer's age,
rather than by the 10-year age division the runner is in, calculated on WAVA
website. If you ran
this race but don't see your name here, please contact Tom or Jim by Feb. 15.
(Because this does happen -- members not noticed in the results -- the above
point totals
therefore
have to be considered tentative until 15 days after the newsletter is mailed.)
WAVA percentiles:
70-79.9 = regional class; 80-89.9 = national class.
For this race, since the low range of the estimated distance is 4.7 miles, the
WAVA %tile has been calculated for 4.95 miles (8K) so each runner's time was
increased in the calculation by what he/she would have run for another 1/4 mile
in order that the WAVA % could be calculated. (This was because there is no 4.70
miles number available to choose in the WAVA percentage generator)
